The Back 2 School Festival 2014- Presented by, Footsloggers: Helping Kids Start School Feeling Confident and Prepared!
The Back 2 School Festival is an event designed to streamline school readiness efforts for a greater impact on Watauga County families.
Thank you so much to everyone who came to the Back 2 School Festival or helped to make this event a reality!
It takes a village to make an event like this happen. We had an amazing day and were able to serve over 700 Watauga County School students at the Back 2 School Festival 2014! Over 135 children received free haircuts and over 400 children received a new pair of shoes, while others received a new item of clothing or gift cards to thrift stores. Hundreds of children received gift cards to help them afford a new pair of shoes at the Shoe Department. School social workers were given additional thrift store gift cards to help families throughout the year.
Plans are in the works for the Back 2 School Festival 2015. If you have interest in serving please send fill out this simple form and we will be in touch shortly.
