As we were packing up after the festival a tough looking man came in with his son. His hair was pulled into a ponytail, he had a bandana, dark eyeliner, ripped jeans and a muscle shirt and tattoos. He recognized one of his old friend’s from his stay at the Hospitality House and exchanged warm greetings. You could see their disappointment when they realized we were packing up but we offered to help his son get the supplies he needed. After looking through his supply list we quickly returned with a backpack full of supplies – whatever we could pull together. Dad looked at us with tears in his eyes as he received the backpack for his eager son. This festival provides relief that is priceless for parents that are working hard to supply for their children’s needs.
